Project Title
Nanoporous 2D Materials (N2DMs): Synthesis, Properties and Adsorption Applications

Project Description
N2DMs have recently created great excitement in separations since they have novel properties w.r.t. conventional N3DMs, but there is no systematic approach to synthesizing and using these materials. We need to move N2DMs from the current ~10 materials to a large area via the “materials genome” approach: computation-experiment-informatics to discover PSP (processing-structure-property) linkages and use this knowledge to design revolutionary N2DMs for H2/CO/CO2 membrane separations and C2=/C2 adsorption separations
